Freightliner – Guide Bridge, Manchester

Re-Work have worked with Freightliner in Leeds for the last few years, delivering furniture across their depot, leading to the full refurnishing of this branch in 2016. So when the Manchester Depots were requiring furniture and design help, Re-Work were selected as the company of choice.

The Brief
Freightliner wanted to get the most efficient and effective layout from their available space, ensure all UK standards were conformed to including any power and data modules, and ensure sound was kept down in the office areas. Areas to furnish included the Main Office, Managers Office, Training Room and Reception Area.

What We Did
We carried out a site visit to discuss the needs of the office with the client, and measure the space for a 2D design, which would determine the best way to layout the furniture, and indicate if there was a need for additional power modules for each user.

After the plans and furniture choices had been agreed, we delivered and installed all the furniture, which included, Corner Desks fitted with Acoustic screens in the main office, to improve the noise levels; Tambour Storage was installed with a range of shelving and roll-out suspension frames, which reduced the need for separate filing cabinets and therefore was a cost saving.

The training room was kitted out with tables on castors to use for training or meeting purposes and meant they were easy to move. Modular Seating was used to create an L-shape area in the reception so all visitors could be seated.
